Fifth Grade Ramblings

Well hello world!

I figured I would enter the world of blogging, seeing as I read so many online and learn so much from them!  I hope that I can share my teaching ideas, learn from others, and make new friends through this process!

A little about myself:
I teach fifth grade and LOVE it!  This will be my fifth year teaching and I am excited to get a new batch of kids this fall.  I definitely am enjoying my first week of summer, but this is usually a time I re-charge my battery and get new clever ideas to incorporate into my teaching for the fall.  Hello to all my fellow 5th grade teachers out there!  

I am married to a great guy and this year we just bought a house in a cute little town and I am spending a lot of time (and money) decorating.  We're adding an addition to our family next Saturday...a puppy!  She is a Golden Retriever and we are absolutely in love with her.  I'll be sure to post some pictures soon when we get her home.  We have a cat as well, but she hides all day in the couch.  I'm excited to actually have an animal I get to see on a daily basis.

So, as I learn my way around blogger, I will be sure to post pictures, share ideas, and hopefully collaborate with all the other wonderful and talented teachers out there!  Can't wait!
