Currently

So this is my FIRST CURRENTLY!  So excited.. Thanks Farley in Oh' Boy 4th Grade!

Listening:

So I'm a big music lover.  Today I just happen to be in a country music mood.  I think it has a lot to with summertime.  I love turning on Pandora or Spotify and letting it run all day so I get to learn new artists.  I love all types of music actually.  You couldn't imagine the dance party that happens in my car when Blurred Lines by Robin Thicke comes on!  People must think I'm crazy.  Eh, let 'em think that. They might be right...

Loving:

Ahhhh....a Sunday night where there's not the dreaded thought of, "ugh, I have to go to bed so I can get up early in the morning."  Let alone, getting up and planning an outfit and all that.  By June I hit the point where nothing in my closet appeals to me and I'd rather show up to school in my yoga pants. Anyone? Anyone?

Thinking:

Usually in the school year I get home and I'm so exhausted I don't want to think about being creative when it comes to cooking dinner.  Give me a chicken breast, veggie, and potato and voila!  Dinner is served.  I'm hoping with my spare time this summer I can come up with some "keeper" recipes to try.  My latest was apple and sage pork chops.  Granted it was the McCormick pre-done spices, but come on... I try.

Wanting:

Get me to the beach!  We have a beach vacation coming up at the end of July.  We all head to Maine in our family's cottage and turn into beach bums.  It truly is the best time of the whole year, and it is my most favorite place in the entire world.  There's just something about falling asleep to the sound of waves crashing that is priceless.

Needing:

I hate wearing shoes and usually from May-October you can find me in some sort of sandal.  Reef flip flops are TO DIE FOR, so if you've been needing some new flip flops, splurge on Reefs.  You won't regret it.  Throw in a good pedicure and you're all set for summer.

Tips/tricks/hints:

So this is not school-related AT ALL, but it's a tip!  My mom owns a florist, so usually I spend my summers helping out and doing wedding work.  A little tip to keep those blooms lasting longer is cutting with a sharp knife under warm water.  Scissors pinch the end of the stem, which makes it hard for the flower to "breathe" and the warm water is easiest for it to drink.  There... you've got more of a green thumb now!

Last but not least,  let's give this bloglovin' link a try:

  1. I am with you on the beach...can't get enough of it! I am also in need of a pedicure. And, I am with you on getting up and not worrying about what to wear to school!

I love the soothing coolers of your blog. The grey letters on the green is really nice.

  2. Thanks Lisa! It's one of the generic ones from Blogger. I love looking at everyone else's designs because they are so fancy and chic... one day (sigh).
